VoiceRoom
Give your words room.

VoiceRoom brings focused speech practice into coachroom.ai. Work with a chosen text or your own script, on its own or as part of a Room.

These analysis views illustrate the proposed VoiceRoom experience. Product availability and supported analyses are still to be confirmed.

Three passages, three practice ideas.

  1. Opening

Try a shorter opening, then pause before asking what matters to the listener.

  2. Question

Repeat the question slightly more slowly. Emphasise “most” and leave room for an answer.

  3. Options

Separate location, layout and details with short pauses. Listen for a clear three-part structure.

How to read this report

This mini-report examines the opening of a property conversation. It uses our synthetic, single-speaker example. Measurements describe this recording; practice suggestions are editorial.

Overall pace
Script word count divided by the full recording length, including pauses.
Median estimated pitch
Median of accepted voiced frames. Uncertain frames are excluded; this is not a target for your voice.
Low-energy intervals
Audio below the analysis threshold for more than 0.22 seconds. Includes the inserted gaps between clips.
Script words
Counted from the prepared script, not automatically recognised speech.

Pace uses the script and exact clip boundaries. Pitch is estimated by autocorrelation in 40 ms frames with a 70–400 Hz search range and a correlation threshold above 0.65. Low-energy intervals use an RMS threshold of 0.012 on normalised audio. These methods describe the example, not a validated assessment of communication skill.

A full conversation needs more context.

This excerpt contains no second speaker. Turn-taking, interruptions, listening behaviour, pronunciation accuracy and customer outcomes are not assessed. Future conversation reports would need the complete recording, reliable speaker attribution and validated analysis.

From a voice to something you can practise.

This is the intended analysis path. The demo uses a prepared recording and offline acoustic measurements with editorial feedback.

  1. Record the sound

Speech is stored as an audio signal. The waveform shows how that signal changes over time.

  2. Connect sound and text

Timing connects a spoken passage with its words. In this example, sentence boundaries come from three separately generated clips.

  3. Look at the detail

Rhythm and estimated pitch describe different aspects of the signal. Pronunciation assessment needs its own analysis; a transcript alone cannot provide it.

  4. Choose the next attempt

A useful observation leads back to a short passage you can listen to and practise again.

About the visualisations

Waveform and pitch follow established acoustic representations. These references explain the methods, not the effectiveness of VoiceRoom.

Praat

Your words. Your way in.

Start with your own text

The standalone VoiceRoom concept lets you choose a script or bring your own, then focus on how you deliver it.

Continue from a Room

A Room can provide the subject and the script. VoiceRoom becomes a focused speaking exercise within that learning path.
